Most aftermarket Datsun service manuals it seems, only show a generic “SU Type” carburettor, which for those in Europe in particular, is not much use. Most late model Datsuns equipped with twin Hitachi made SU type carburettors have a different system for adjusting both idle speed and fuel mixture, with the usual individual adjustments on the carburettor jets disabled. Also this system employs an “anti-dieseling” solenoid amongst other features.
